The City of Flatwoods wants to welcome your business to our community and appreciates the opportunity to serve you.

Every entity that conducts business in the City limits, whether commercial or home-based, must apply for a business license and renew it annually. All business licenses expire June 30th. Business licenses must be obtained prior to conducting business in the City limits. Each business license shall be valid for a fiscal year, July 1 through June 30th.

Upon issuance, the local business license must be posted in a visible location in the business establishment.

Business license information - necessary for City of Flatwoods records and will be held in strict confidence.

In home business requirements:

"In Home" business, Flatwoods Code, Ordinance No. 13-1969 Section 301.

Estimated gross receipts:

Declaration of estimated gross receipts license fee.

​

Gross receipts license fee return:

Gross receipts license fee return - The Previous year actual receipts, ordinance 11-1984.

Fee schedule:

Business license fee schedule, gross receipts, license is based on Fiscal Year (July 1 - June 30.)
