The annual Flatwoods Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on November 24th, 2008 at 6pm in the city park. Santa will also be present for the children. -

The annual Flatwoods Christmas Parade will be held on December 6th, 2008 at 1pm. The parade will begin at General Heating & Air and will end at the city park. -

Events & Activities:
Flatwoods City Park
The B.F. Crager Community Park is located adjacent to the City Building at 2513 Reed Street and feaures:
- A walking track with fitness stations
- Playground equipment
- Public basketball courts for public use
- Public picnic shelters (these can be reserved for special events)
- A large amphitheatre available for events throughout the year
- A gazebo
- An authentic log cabin in the process of restoration
- Public restrooms (open during normal business hours)
The park closes nightly at 10:00 p.m.
2008 Events
- March 22nd, 2008 1:00PM: City Easter Egg Hunt.
This event features an Easter egg hunt for the little ones as well as refreshments. - May 26th, 2008 12:00PM: Memorial Day in the Park.
This event features an all day KYOVA Gospel Sing and a Salute to Veterans. - September 13th, 2008 7:00AM: 6th Annual Flatwoods Homecoming.
- 7:30am: Pancake breakfast at Advance Methodist Church
- 11:00am: Parade
- 12:00pm: Opening ceremonies at the City Park on Reed St.
- 1:00-6:00pm: Music in the park amphitheatre

- October 30th, 2008: Halloween in the Park.
This event features a haunted house, fun and games, and candy for the kids in a safe environment. - November 24th, 2008: Christmas Tree Lighting and Carols.
